![]() I know - don't trust online reviews - but some of these reviews were from reputable sources. I said, "Can I cancel my subscription I think I made a mistake".Ĭonclusion: I think all this NordVPN reviews - etc. asked them "Can you give me an instance where an App could impact VPN speeds". Than the human started asking me to take a screenshot of all the Apps I have on my computer - I told them what was running at the time - but they wanted all my apps. I got one server to give me decent uploads of about 100 - but ProtonVPN was 2.5 times faster. I had to test each and everyone! Some of the servers gave me an error on download and more so on upload. They recommend me to change my DNS settings to Cloudfire (or whatever) did that - bad. So automated help recommended switching OpenVPN settings - did that - even worse. My speeds with free ProtonVPN - 255/221 - NordVPN 262/40. Speeds were better, but still terrible for Upload. I live in PA so it was suggested to select Manassas VA. Obviously I couldn't test them out since they don't have a free option.Įxperience: Wholly crude my experience was miserable. NordVPN is supposed to have more servers - work with streaming services better - all the bells and whistles - so I was sold. They had a deal on their website for 76% off for two years. I read a few reviews and thought - okay I heard a lot about NordVPN so they must be GREAT!. Well everyone touted Nord VPN as the fastest most secure most reliable cheapest option. So if I had to pay for a VPN service which was best. Though I couldn't watch Hulu or Disney + and it's only one connection. I found a free server near me with speeds near my MAX 300/300. I believe SVPN is kind of dying - servers are limited - support is sparse - speeds are terrible. Overall I asked for a refund while using it for only 1 hour! It was the most terrible experience I've had in a while.īackground: I purchased a lifetime membership to SecureVPN.
